Syneika

The company Syneika was formed as a result of close collaboration between two research teams.

The Rennes University Hospital Department of Adult Psychiatry (based in the Guillaume Régnier Hospital) has used Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation as a treatment for depression since 2005. Its work has highlighted the importance of individualised treatment based on medical imaging techniques.

The research unit U746 Visages, recognised by INSERM, develops new algorithms for processing medical imaging. Its work focuses on central nervous system diseases and in particular applications in image-guided neurosurgery, neurology and psychiatry.
